On March 25th, Sinoma Tianjin signed project management, the last part of SHEREE DIGVIJAY project with Votorantim, which signifies the company signed its first EPC contract in India.
After Votorantim’s acquisition of Cimpor, this project aims upgrading its coal mill facility in the cement plant located in Gujarat State in India. A tube mill is used to replace ATOX vertical mill of FLSmidth to grind pet coke. The purpose is to increase production and reduce consumption by using pet coke with high calorific value instead of inferior coal.
The total contract value is 4.5 million USD. LNVT acquired by Sinoma is in charge of local procurement, electric and automatic supply and civil construction, which is worth 2.01 million USD and paid in Indian Rupee.
The signing of this project provides a more effective model to explore Indian market and it can fully utilize the advantage of Sinoma in EPC general contracting and advantages of LNVT in local procurement to realize win-win outcome. This project is significant for future mutual cooperation in Indian market.
